Germany is at the cutting edge of Equine technology for innovative treatments and we have imported from Röwer & Rüb, the first Horse Sauna into the UK.
The Sauna can give the benefit of either a high temperature dry heat treatment which helps heal muscle and ligament strains (has been proven to cut healing time in half in Germany) or a low temperature wet steam treatment to treat respiratory problems without the use of drugs.
Sauna treatments can be combined with Essential Oils inside the Sauna which allow the horse to inhale at a much deeper level, while also absorbing the oil properties through the skin.
The Sauna can also be used to increase fertility in mares, warm up muscles before training or give relaxation after training.
We have a quiet treatment area where horses wait before the sauna, then after treatment they are washed down in the wash box then rested in the treatment area before going home or having overnight stay for sequential treatments. |
